Planning a trip to Gatlinburg? If so you may be interested in taking advantage of the Gatlinburg Trolley system during your visit. Here’s everything you need to know to get you started on your experience with the Gatlinburg Mast Transit trolley system.
The Gatlinburg Trolley and Our Hotel
During your stay at our hotel you can pick up a $2 all-day pass for the Gatlinburg Trolley at the front desk and the trolley stop is located to the side of our parking area near Ripley’s Davy Crockett’s Mini-Golf.
Ride For Free
During summer months guests can ride the specially marked trolleys for free from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily.
Accessibility
You’ll find over 20 trolleys running along the streets of Gatlinburg and surrounding areas. All of the trolleys are handicap accessible.
Find a Trolley
To find a trolley at any time while you’re in town you can visit the Gatlinburg Mass Transit website to access the Gatlinburg Trolley Locator. Doing so will allow you to see all routes that are running, trolley stops throughout town and in real-time where each trolley is located.
Choose Your Destination
You’ll find 7 trolley routes that run based on an operating schedule. Some only run during summer months, others run year-round. Choose your destination and then match up the trolley that you’ll want to be on. You can access more than 100 locations in the Smokies that include Dollywood, Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Rocky Top Sports World, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, and much more.
Operating Schedule
The Gatlinburg Trolleys operate on 4 schedules that include a regular schedule that runs from 8:30 a.m. until midnight, a modified schedule of 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m, a winter schedule and extended hours on special occasions like New Years Eve. Be sure to check the schedule based on the time of your stay.
Tis The Season
Guests visiting during the winter months will have the opportunity to ride on the Gatlinburg Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights. Tickets can be reserved and purchased online.
Trolley Fare
If you’re not using the $2 all-day pass or you plan on riding a trolley that doesn’t accept the pass you’ll want to make sure that you have exact change on you because it will be required to ride. Fare prices range from fifty cents to two dollars.
