Are you planning on visiting Gatlinburg this year and love unique shops to browse? There’s no lack of great shops to pop into on your trip but here are 3 of our favorites!

1. Doc’s Magic and Joke Shop

Always believe in magic when you’re at Gatlinburg’s best magic and joke shop. For over 40 years now Doc’s has been welcoming guests and certainly has inspired a few to work towards grand magicians along the way. Doc loves to show off some of his favorite tricks and even if you’re not into magic you’ll find it an absolute joy to meet him and browse his shop. If you’re traveling with children, you have to visit. It’s a kid-friendly shop and will be one of their favorite experiences of the trip. You’ll find plenty of fun and quirky gifts for friends, family, and especially teens or children at Doc’s Magic and Joke Shop in Gatlinburg too.

2. Celtic Heritage Co

Did you know that you can vacation in the Smoky Mountains but take back a fine gift from Ireland, Scotland, or Wales? Celtic Heritage Co is located in The Village and is by far one of the most unique shops in Gatlinburg and the Smokies. Browse beautiful jewelry, food, gifts, clothing, kilts, and more. You could even stumble across very unique items like Connemara stones, a rare marble. Here in the Smokies we take great pride in the warm hospitality that we’re able to offer guests and friendly service is one of the top qualities that Celtic Heritage Co is praised for time after time. During your stay with us at The Appy Lodge, be sure to stop in, browse a bit, and say hello.

3. Ogle’s Broom Shop

In the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community you’ll find countless unique shops to visit while you’re in Gatlinburg. However, one shop we want to highlight is the Ogle’s Broom Shop. A locally owned shop that is quaint but greatly loved among both locals and guests. As a third generation broom maker, Ogle makes high quality brooms with workmanship that is rare these days. Dave also makes stunning and sturdy hiking sticks, a perfect souvenir to take back home with you after time in the Smokies. A favorite part of the experience for guests is just simply interacting with Dave and his wife Tammy. If you’re looking to visit a unique shop, witness beautiful craftsmanship, and connect with the locals, you can’t miss taking time to stop in Ogle’s Broom Shop the next time you’re in town!
