1. Sugarland Cellars

Sugarland Cellars is a local winery that keeps even the name of their wines focused on the history and beauty of the Smokies. They are located near the Gatlinburg entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park and offer free tastings daily. Their handcrafted wines are made on site and they have a wonderful selection of fine gifts to browse as well. Every year they also release a limited-edition wines with a label created by local painter Robert Tino. A portion of proceeds benefits Friends of the Smokies, so not only do they make a great gift for a loved one, but by purchasing them you’re also providing a gift to the national park. If you’re bringing your sweetheart during your stay with us then stop off at Sugarland Cellars on your way back to the hotel one evening. Pick up a chilled bottle of wine and a few items from their wine and cheese room to bring back to the hotel for a nice romantic evening in one of our king suites. Another great option when visiting the winery is to pick up a passport for the Rocky Top Wine Trail. The trail includes five local wineries and after visiting the third, you’ll receive a free souvenir wine glass. If you visit all five, you’ll receive another free gift. Everyone loves wine and free gifts, right?

2. Little Bear Winery

Little Bear Winery is one of the newest wineries in town and is already loved by many folks that have stopped in. They’re also included in the Rocky Top Wine Trail with Sugarland Cellars. Little Bear Winery offers tasting 7 days a week, including 100% Muscadine Grape Juice and Blackberry Cider available for anyone that wants to be included in an alcohol free tasting experience. The winery is family friendly and is an easy stop to make as you’re exploring downtown Gatlinburg. Swing by the next time you’re in town and grab a bottle of Grape Expectations, Blueberry Twist, Sweet Watermelon or Muscadine. Don’t forget to grab a few extra bottles for friends and family as well!

3. Tennessee Homemade Wines

Last but not least is Tennessee Homemade Wines, the Travelers’ Choice for 2020 with Trip Advisor for wineries in Gatlinburg. With over five thousand 5-star reviews it’s a guarantee that when you arrive you’ll have a great time and love the wines! Tennessee Homemade Wines takes great pride in having their wines made by local folks with local fruits and served up by local friends with southern hospitality. The good folks there are always happy to have both locals and guests stop in for sips. Their Old Apple mixed with their mulling spices is a favorite during autumn and the holidays. You can never go wrong with a bottle of White Knuckle Grape, Strawberry Stomp, Proper Peach, or Southern Red. You’ll also find a selection of gifts that are perfect for treating yourself, a family member or friend.
